Skopje
Skopje is the capital city of the former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia. Skopje accommodates nearly 25% of the total population in Macedonia, which makes it the single most important city in political, economical and cultural aspects. The magnificient Vardar River cuts the city in two. If you are in Skopje, don't miss strolling along the river banks and have coffee at one of the numerous cafes.
