Rome definitely deserves its nickname - The Eternal City. Once you visit it, you would always want to come back - again and again. Few sentences would be extremely insufficient to describe and reveal the magic of this city - best is to explore it yourself. Narrow cobbled streets form squares in the downtown where is the top shopping area which you can easily cover on foot and then enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner right on the street where many small restaurants have their tables, offering one of the most delicious food in Europe! The majority of the buildings are very old and untouched from ancient times and this gives a really warm feeling when walking around. There are plenty of historical places to be seen in Rome. To start with the biggest and greatest of all - the Colliseum and then go through the museums where ancient Roman history is presented. The lucky ones may have a chance to see the Pope if they attend a service at Saint Peter’s Square or experience the inaccessibility of the huge and high Vatican walls…
If you enjoy live music and arts you can stroll around the famous piazzas in town where young people gather together to perform live music - doing it for fun and also for some earnings. Painters create various pieces of art - either romantic Roman scenery or your own caricature. Such places are Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona and not to miss Piazza di Spagna - one of the symbols of Rome - the magnetic Spanish steps full of people almost all of the time.
