Liege
Liege is a rapidly changing Belgian city where old meets new. Discover the typical traffic-free alleys and shopping streets with plenty of terraces, while taking a walk through the old city center. Visit the central St. Lambert square where the modern Liege is developing. Enjoy Liege from a distance while walking alongside of the banks of the majestic Meuse river. And of course you can’t leave Liege without tasting the local speciality –the sweet waffle “Gaufre de Liege” found at every city bakery.
The city is well-known for its very crowded folk festivals and is renowned for its significant nightlife. Within the pedestrian zone, Le Carré square is situated with many lively pubs which are reputed to remain open until the last customer leaves (typically around 6 am).
